Cipriani Ocean Resort and Club Residences

The Cipriani Ocean Resort in Punta Del Este is a new luxury residential, hotel, retail and entertainment complex located in Uruguay’s world-renowned resort city. The project features a faithful recreation of the iconic Tudor-style San Rafael Hotel, which famously launched the beachside community into the destination it is today, as well as two new towers, an outdoor pool, and beach club.

To simultaneously provide expansive views for guests and residents, as well as preserve view corridors for the surrounding buildings, Rafael Viñoly Architects organized the program into two elevated rectangular bars, positioned perpendicularly to capture both ocean and downtown views.

The two bars feature 75 total luxury condominiums, with one, two and three-bedroom layouts. Each residence features floor-to-ceiling glass sliding panels and a private, generous porch to maximize the impact of the building’s scenic views. A rooftop pool features unobstructed panoramic views of Punta Del Este.

The complex is situated above a podium structure, which houses the building’s main reception lobby and car drop off, restaurant, as well as a spa, luxury boutiques, a 1,000-seat theater, two auditoriums, a ballroom, hotel pool, and casino.
