Over her seven years at Viñoly, Stephanie Tsang has worked as both a project coordinator–for several international projects ranging in size from 100,000 to nearly 380,000 gross square meters–and a director of contracts and marketing.
For the 371,600-square-meter (4,000,000-square-foot) New York University Abu Dhabi campus, Ms. Tsang relocated to Abu Dhabi for two and a half years to manage the production of design workshop presentations and submissions to the client and authorities. She liaised directly with the client representatives, prepared presentations, developed standards for all of the project documentation, and oversaw production of reports. She was also responsible for designing the campus signage and wayfinding program, coordinating security elements, reviewing code and accessibility compliance, ensuring compliance with and proposing modifications to the Space Plan, developing a campus-wide concept for the interior finishes and color palette, coordinating exteriors (furnishings, landscape, and lighting design), managing rendering production, and organizing submissions for Urban Planning Approval and Estidama (sustainability).
Subsequently, Ms. Tsang led the production of the final Master Plan and Space Plan report for a 171,960-square-meter (1,851,000-square-foot) Master Plan and new laboratory building at The Rockefeller University in New York, USA. Most recently, she completed the space plan and master plan, coordination of rezoning submission, user group meetings, cost estimate reconciliation, contractor meetings, zoning and building code review, project schedule for a Corporate Headquarters and developed the program for a conceptual Master Plan at the MedImmune campus in Gaithersburg, Maryland, USA.
In addition to her work on projects, Ms. Tsang directs the internal marketing and new business production team whose activities include project proposals, publications, and awards submissions. She has also coordinated the firm’s consultant agreements, contracts, and additional services.
