The University of Manchester Graphene Engineering Innovation Centre – Construction Update

The University of Manchester, Graphene Engineering Innovation Centre (GEIC) topped out today, reaching a significant milestone in the project’s construction. The Rafael Viñoly Architects-designed, 8,400 square-meter state-of-the-art technical facility features two continuous floor plates of modular labs to maximize flexibility of the highly-technical, specialized research space. This flagship facility will complement the University’s existing National Graphene Institute (NGI) to create a critical mass of graphene expertise made up of scientists, engineers, innovators and industrialists.
