432 Park Avenue Tower Featured in Skyscraper Museum Exhibition

432 Park Avenue, a residential apartment tower designed by Viñoly, is featured in the Skyscraper Museum’s exhibition: SKY HIGH, open now. The exhibition examines the recent proliferation of slim, tall residential towers in Manhattan, and is organized around a series of themes and projects, beginning with: a history of slenderness and examines the special engineering issues, wind tunnel testing, and damping devices against sway that must be designed for tall and very thin structures; how contiguous lots and air rights are assembled; options for optimizing floor plans and ceiling heights; and many more topics.

SKY HIGH runs through April 19, 2014 at the Sky Scraper Museum in downtown New York. More information on the exhibit — including access to a virtual exhibition here.
