Taormina, Italy
1969 0 m²This hotel, intended for a site just outside the center of the Sicilian port town of Taormina, was designed as a cluster of independent structures set into the sloping hills surrounding the town. Essentially roof buildings, in which a dramatically inclined plane is perforated by terraced decks allowing light and views of the town and the nearby Mediterranean Sea, they were to have been tiled with stones quarried from the same hills.
