Acoyte Housing Complex

Buenos Aires, Argentina

1966 46,033 m²

This housing development, intended for middle- to upper-income families, consists of three 25-story towers behind a low-slung building containing commercial and public spaces that are in keeping with neighboring buildings of similar scale. Each tower, with a peripheral load-bearing system designed around a service core, features an essentially column-free interior permitting extensive flexibility in apartment layouts; each floor holds up to four customized apartments. The complex is clad in a combination of fine pre-cast concrete and ceramic tiles that reveals the steel structure.
