Located across East 53rd Street from the Citicorp tower with its signature sloped roof and banded aluminum-and-glass cladding, this 36-story office tower also includes a distinctive skyline feature: a triple-height glass-walled atrium with a curved roof that rests on a 30th-floor setback. The tower’s dialogue with its important neighbor is further articulated by the juxtaposition of 900 Third’s banded façade of carnelian granite and reflective glass with Citicorp’s aluminum and glass. At the building’s base, a notched corner with a supporting column and an aluminum curtain wall responds to the similar corner treatment of the opposite tower to create a visual portal to 53rd Street.

The tower’s open plan and consolidated vertical circulation and services provide maximum flexibility on every floor. The atrium near the top of the building serves as a signature sky lobby for the primary tenant.
