Denver Union Terminal Hotel and Convention Center Complex
Denver Union Terminal Hotel and Convention Center Complex
Denver, Colorado
1983 108,000 m²This convention center complex was designed as a replacement for Currigan Hall, an existing smaller facility, which would have been converted into a 20,000 square meters retail center. The design includes 77,500 square meters of new exhibition space and a 1000-room hotel. The plan calls for the existing railroad terminal, which is spanned by the new development, to be converted into retail and office space. A centrally located atrium serves as the focal point for circulation through the project and links the two mixed-use towers located at opposite ends of the site. These provide an additional 310,000 squae meters of floor space.
